Everything You Need to Know About Our Pulled & Refurbished Displays with Sensor Flex

When replacing an iPhone screen, it’s not just about display quality but also compatibility with the latest iOS versions. Especially since iOS 18, which provides additional ways to verify components, it’s important that a new screen is properly recognized by the system. That’s why we offer Pulled & Refurbished Displays with Sensor Flex. In this blog, you’ll learn why this is important and how you, as a smartphone repair professional, can benefit from it.

What is a Paired Sensor Flex?

The Sensor Flex is an original flex cable that is standardly attached to the display.

In our displays, this cable comes from an original Apple screen and remains paired with the motherboard of the original device. This allows iOS to recognize it in different ways, including:

  • Used: previously used and 100% Apple
  • Original: new and 100% Apple

And therefore not as 'Unknown'.

For smartphone repair professionals and end users, this means:

  • Full software recognition in iOS 18
  • No error messages or restrictions
  • More confidence from your customers

Why is this important in iOS 18?

iOS 18 checks components such as the display, battery, and Face ID even more thoroughly. If the system does not recognize something, you’ll see the message “Unknown Part.” This can create doubt for customers and may cause software limitations.

With our displays featuring Paired Sensor Flex, you can prevent this. They are properly recognized, just like original Apple components.

What does “Calibrated Used” mean exactly?

The label “Calibrated Used” means:

  • iOS 18 recognizes it without any issues
  • It has been previously used but is fully inspected and calibrated

So you get all the benefits of an original screen without the high price of a new part.

Our Technical Attributes

On our product pages, you’ll find an overview of technical attributes for each item.

Pay attention to the following terms:

  • Warranty: lifetime – warranty on the product
  • Diagnostic: supported – works with Apple’s diagnostic tools
  • Message: used/original – no error message during installation

Message: used/original indicates the message iOS 18 shows after diagnostics have been run:

  • Used: the component is recognized as previously used but original.
  • Original: the component is recognized as new and original.
  • Unknown (for parts without Sensor Flex): the component is not recognized or only partially recognized. This happens because you have non-original parts or calibration was only partially successful.

In Summary: Why Choose Displays with Paired Sensor Flex?

✔ No “Unknown Part” message in iOS 18

✔ Fully diagnostic-supported, recognized by Apple as original

✔ Greater trust and higher customer satisfaction
